Rose and bee

Here are the rose and bee on a wooden spoon that I got for my friend Linda for her birthday. She has received her package now so I can share. www.minnesotadaydreams.blogspot.com is Linda's blog. It was her birthday on 12th December.
The rose and bee was knitted by my friend June and sold at the hospice craft fair I went to in November.
There is a whole series of these 'pop ups' based onn nursey rhymes.

Mince Pies

Here are the cards I made with sequin waste at Embroiderer's Guild- along with a few bits from the stationery shop. You can't see very well. One is gold with red sequins and the other red with gold sequins.

We had mince pies too.

I only have 2 more packages to post and a couple of cards. I got everything else in the post today. I had to buy more wrapping paper.

I like Sundays better

when I've got Monday off!

Tomorrow is the Embroiderer's guild Christmas meeting. We are making a card or ornament with sequin waste and felt. There will be mince pies too.

I have had another quiet day today. I've done more Christmas cards and letters.

Swallowing hasn't been so painful I try not to do it- but it is still sore. So is the left side of the roof of my mouth where I burnt it the other day.

Robert has spent the day in the living room watching TV. Its nice to spend time with him. Though Tom has been sulking about Robert's choice of programmes. At 9.30pm we are going to watch constantine with Keanu Reeves. Tom and Robert are watching a comedy programme at the moment.

Dad is coming to get us in the car at Christmas. We will go to Mum and Dad's on 22nd. My sister, her husband and 22 year old son will come on 23rd. My brother, his wife and son, 11 and daughter, 8 will come for the day on Christmas Eve. We will come home on 28th as I have work 29th, 30th and 31st.

Christmas Cards

I didn't feel up to much today, but I have done most of my Christmas cards and about half of them are in the post.

The fire in the back room has stopped working- oh well!

My ears and throat are feeling a bit better. We had soup for tea, so that it wasn't too difficult.

The fire is still working!

But my feet are cold in here!

I'm supposed to be getting ready for bed.

I have raging earache and it hurts when I swallow. I had it checked out but there is no infection- just unequal pressures and bowed ear drums. I am feeling very out of sorts. This is not helped by the burn inside my mouth from the other day. Uncomfortable all round!

I have Monday off work. We are making things with sequin waste and felt at Embroiderer's guild. There will be mince pies too- and Oh yes! I must remember to write some Christmas cards.

Tomorrow I want to sort out in the living room and put the Christmas decorations up.

Tom fixed the fire!

Today Tom fixed the gas fire in the back room! Now I don't have to freeze when I'm on the computer! hopefully it will work more than just this once ( that's what happened last time).

Lazy Sunday Afternoon!

I slept in this morning and haven't done much since. I watched old Antiques Roadshows on TV and then advent music from Cambridge churches and colleges.
